What does Navigate Consulting do?
Ali acts as guide and advocate for families who are caring for older relatives or others with chronic health problems or ongoing medical challenges.
She is usually hired by adult children who want help with their parents, but others, such as attorneys, physicians, realtors, and financial advisors, also reach out to her on behalf of clients.
When Ali gets a new client, she performs an initial assessment that includes evaluating physical and cognitive functioning, medical history, living arrangements, support systems, home safety, lifestyle preferences, financial resources, and other issues. That assessment helps her decide what living situation is best for the client, whether that be aging in place at home with the help of medical home care, therapy, private duty home health, or moving to an assisted-living facility or personal care home, a nursing home, or a memory care center. Ali will then assist the family with coordinating any referrals that may be needed and agreed upon.
Ali is here for families looking for general guidance. She works with adult children who want a consultation because they either need direction for the care of their parent or because they want a sounding board for the plan they’ve worked out on their own.
Check out Ali’s video below, which explores why she decided to start Navigate Consulting.
